This year presents numerous challenges to the Board and I am happy to say that we are off to a flying start. The new office at the villa in Barsha has proven to be an extremely smart decision. In addition to saving the ABC significant expenses by holding many of our events at this venue, the villa itself provides a great working environment to the ABC office staff as well as a home for our membership. Kudos to Libby Molesky and her staff in giving the membership an office facility that we can be extremely proud of. The new Board has agreed to prioritize focusing on how better to meet the needs of both our Individual and Corporate members. Focus groups will be held with representatives from the Presidents and Vice Presidents Club to insure that they are getting the value they expect from this special membership. We also plan on going out to the broader membership with a follow-up to last years on-line survey to validate and give better definition to the issues that were of the greatest concern to ABC members and use these results for strategic guidance. We endeavor to do more with promoting business and hosting events in the other Northern Emirates, as significant business opportunities are there that remain untapped. Additionally, we want to have a closer relationship with our sister organization, the American Business Group in Abu Dhabi. To compliment these efforts, our committees are already active in developing and executing their specific plans and programs for the New Year. We encourage all of our members that want to be involved with any of our committees to contact the office and we will be happy to pass on your interest to the appropriate committee chairperson. In closing let the Board and I wish all of our members a happy, healthy and successful 2006 and you have our commitment to keep the American Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates the premier business organization in the region.
