The Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK - Deutscher Industrie - und HandelsKammertag) is the national organization of the 81 German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Germany and it supports more than 110 offices of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK - AuslandsHandelsKammer) as well as the offices of Delegates and Representative of German Business and Industry in more than 80 countries all over the world. The DIHK represents the interests of business and industry at the German federal level. The German Industry and Commerce Office in the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) as well as in Qatar (Doha) is the only official institution authorised by the German Federal Government and the DIHK to promote bilateral trade and industry relations between Germany, the UAE, Oman and Qatar. The network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad is one of the three pillars of the Federal Government system of foreign trade promotion. The other two are the German Office of Foreign Trade (bfai - Bundesagentur für Aussenwirtschaft) and the commercial division of the embassies in the different countries.
