Emirates Flight Catering employs 5,400 staff and provides in-flight catering and support services for airlines at Dubai International Airport. The new catering facility dedicated to service the flights of Emirates Airline is now fully operational. This facility has a design capacity of 115,000 meal tray set-ups per day and features high levels of automation, including an electric monorail system for transporting meal carts, a bin conveyor system to transport equipment, and a vacuum system for the disposal of waste from all areas of the building. The existing catering facility will remain operational for all other airline clients. Providing services to 110 regular airline clients, Emirates Flight Catering has recruited chefs experienced in every culinary tradition, from sushi for the Japanese routes to a myriad of different curries for the constant stream of flights to the Indian sub-continent.
