Led by the initiative of The Abu Dhabi Education Council, the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) opened on the 9th September. The Institute will operate under the auspices of New South Wales Technical and Further Education (Australia). TAFE NSW is one of the largest and most experienced providers of vocational education and training in the world and currently operates more than one hundred colleges. ADVETI will offer Emirati students locally and internationally recognized qualifications at the Diploma and Certificate Levels. Students undertaking ADVETI Diploma courses will spend the first two years of their studies full-time at the Institute. During their third year they will be placed in part time appropriate employment in industry with some continuing studies at the Institute. On successful completion, they will receive an accredited Diploma.
