Khalifa Award for Education was established to reward the efforts of all who excel in the education field, to celebrate their efforts and creativity, and to recognize their work in research, projects, and programs everywhere. The Khalifa Award enjoys financial and administrative independence. Above all, it is blessed by the generous support of H.H. President of the UAE. The Award is managed by a council of trustees, an executive committee, and jury panels. The council of trustees has decided that the Award is to be for all who work in the educational sector, whether citizens or residents, and to be exclusively dedicated for the education in the UAE alone in its first year (2007-2008), thus to ensure the quality of selection and focus the experience. At later stages, the Award shall be extended to include activities in the education field in the Arab countries and internationally; as all activities of research and study in this field are interactive and beneficial to each other regardless of the country of origin.
