Our first affiliate venture was the Classic Institute of Music, which was set up in 1986 in Bahrain under the patronage of Mr. Jalal Ali Ebrahim, a well-known local businessman and philanthropist. Mr. Waheed Ahmed bin Hasan, a Bahraini with Baccalaureate Degree in Piano and Oboe, and a Masters Diploma in Musicology from conservatory of Music in Egypt, with 15 years experience as a Musician, Composer and Educator, was the ideal personality to head this excellent Institute. He is one of few Musicologists in the GCC who has published several books in the traditional Music Pearl Diving Songs in Bahrain, Laiwa Music in the Gulf Countries, etc. After the success of this venture, we brought up Madar Arts Production (Bahrain) in 1988. In a relatively short span of nearly 5 years, Madar Sound & Light Systems has managed to obtain a creditable list of suppliers and clients. In 1992, Madar Sound & Light Systems expanded the operation in U.A.E with the joint venture of H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Raqabani. Presently, Mr. Waheed Ahmed bin Hasan, the Managing Director of Madar Sound & Light Systems, acts as a Technical Consultant for government projects in the UAE and known to many that he is the only Designer & Director of Multi-media Shows and grand celebrations for Audio Studios/Theatre Sound and Lights in the Gulf Region- what, with his vast experience and artistic capabilities and solid technical knowledge. To combine these two qualities: artistic &technical expertise, is rare. Mr. Waheed Ahmed bin Hasan has been involved in many prestigious projects such as organizing the audio and multimedia arrangements for the Asian Cup 96, celebrations of the U.A.E. National Day; large-scale multimedia shows for the 25th Anniversary of the U.A.E. Federation and the Oman National Day celebrations in 1998.
